FLV-DR9030
The FLV-DR9030 is part of Omron's FLV-DR Series of high-density LED direct ring lights, with a 90 mm external ring diameter, a 40 mm internal ring diameter, an 84 mm emitting-surface diameter and a 30-degree (medium) lighting angle. It is offered in multiple wavelengths: white (FLV-DR9030W, 8.1 W), red (FLV-DR9030R, 6.6 W, ~635 nm), blue (FLV-DR9030B, 8.1 W, ~460-465 nm), infrared (FLV-DR9030IR, 4.3 W, ~850 nm) and ultraviolet (FLV-DR9030UV, 6.8 W, ~385 nm; the UV variant has a 94 mm outer diameter and 220 g weight). The light unit uses an aluminum-alloy case with an 0.8 m lead cable and is powered through an Omron FLV-series lighting controller (e.g. FLV-TCC or FLV-ATC). An optional diffusion plate (FLV-DR9030DF / FLV-DR9000DF) is available for more uniform illumination, and as part of the FLV series it carries an IP20 rating and a 0 to +50 deg C operating temperature range.
The Omron FLV-DR9030 is a direct ring light, meaning its high-density LEDs sit in a 90 mm outer / 40 mm inner ring and project light forward toward the part along the camera's optical axis. The defining optical choice here is the 30-degree (medium) emission angle: the LEDs are aimed inward rather than straight down, so the beams from the 84 mm emitting surface converge onto the work at a moderate incline. That geometry is the workhorse setting for direct illumination - bright enough to flood a textured or matte surface with even, frontal light, yet angled enough to start raising contrast on engraving, embossing, surface texture and printed marks. With the camera looking down through the 40 mm central aperture, the ring delivers shadow-reduced, broadly uniform illumination that suits the product's stated work: defect and surface inspection, OCR/OCV, printed-code traceability and packaging checks.
