ALB1716B
The ALB1716B is the largest model in DCM Sistemes' ALB series of direct high-powered ringlights, measuring 168x168x38.5 mm with a 76 mm inner diameter and rated IP65, and delivers far more light than the ALD series to illuminate objects from greater distances while highlighting textures and contours. It integrates iBlueDrive technology supporting continuous, strobe and powered (overdrive) operation, runs from 24 VDC via a 3-pin Type C aerial male connector, and is available in multiple wavelengths (365 nm UV, 400 nm UV, 470 nm blue, 525 nm green, 630 nm red, 850/880 nm IR, white and RGB). Maximum instantaneous Type C consumption ranges from 10 W (IR) to 22 W (400 nm) depending on wavelength, with 17 W for white and 20 W for blue/red. The anodized-aluminium housing operates from 0 to 40 degrees C and is offered with narrow, medium (default), wide, oval and diffuse emission angles plus optional polarizer and diffuser filters.
The ALB1716B is the largest member of DCM Sistemes' ALB series of direct high-powered ring lights, an annular illuminator that emits from a Ø76 mm inner to Ø168 mm outer ring across a 168 x 168 x 38.5 mm anodized-aluminium body. As a direct ring, the LEDs sit on the same axis as the camera and project light forward onto the scene rather than diffusing it, so the geometry produces bright, fairly even frontal illumination that rakes across surface texture and contour. DCM specifies it as a high-output unit that delivers far more light than the lower-power ALD series, which is what lets it illuminate non-reflective objects from a greater recommended working distance (RWD >50 mm) while still pulling out detail. The camera lens looks through the 76 mm central aperture, so the part-to-light spacing and the inner-diameter clearance govern how much of the field is evenly lit and where specular hot-spots fall.
