Standard Light Dome-100OD-x
The Basler Standard Light Dome-100OD-x is a machine-vision dome light providing uniform, diffuse bright-field illumination ideal for highly reflective or curved surfaces. It offers a 100 mm luminous area with a 30 mm central lens hole and is offered in four wavelengths: White (5000 K), Red (625 nm), Blue (465 nm), and IR (850 nm). It runs on 24 VDC at 8 W with an internal LED controller supporting continuous and strobe/overdrive operation, and connects via an M8 4-pin connector. The housing is black anodized aluminum with a plastic dome, rated IP54.
The Basler Standard Light Dome-100OD-x is a diffuse dome light built for the single hardest illumination problem in machine vision: imaging glossy, curved, or specular surfaces without hot spots or glare. A dome geometry works by bouncing LED light off the inside of a hemispherical surface so the part is lit from nearly every angle at once. The result is shadowless, near-uniform bright-field illumination that wraps around contours and suppresses the mirror-like reflections you would otherwise get from metal, foil, glossy plastic, or clear film. With a 100 mm luminous-area diameter and a 30 mm central lens hole, the camera looks straight down through the top of the dome while the part sits underneath, fully bathed in diffuse light. The very short recommended working distance of 1-30 mm is the key design constraint: the part must sit close to the dome opening for the wrap-around effect to work, so this is a close-coupled, top-down inspection fixture rather than a standoff light.
