PLC0412D
The PLC0412D is the smallest model of DCM Sistemes' PLC "Compact linear lights projectors (2/2)" range, a high-illumination linear projector designed to produce strong contrast and emphasize textures, reliefs and fissures over larger areas and longer working distances. It packs 4 LEDs in a 120 x 39 x 31 mm anodized-aluminium IP65 housing weighing 250 g, with a recommended working distance greater than 50 mm and a 3-pin aerial male (Type C) connector running on 24 VDC +/-8%. iBlueDrive technology is built in, allowing automatic switching between continuous, powered (up to 200% overdrive) and strobe modes without external controllers. It is available in seven standard wavelengths (365 nm UV, 400 nm, 470 nm blue, 525 nm green, 630 nm red, 850 nm IR and W00 white) and four emission angles: narrow 12 degrees, medium 35 degrees, wide 70 degrees and diffuse.
The PLC0412D is the smallest member of DCM Sistemes' PLC compact linear light projector range: a 120 x 39 x 31 mm bar packing 4 LEDs into a 250 g anodized-aluminium IP65 housing. Unlike a soft, low-angle bar light, this is a high-illumination directional projector built to throw a concentrated band of light across a scene from a recommended working distance greater than 50 mm. That directional geometry is what lets it emphasize surface texture, relief and fissures: when light strikes a part at an angle, raised and recessed features cast micro-shadows that turn an otherwise flat-looking surface into high-contrast structure for the camera. Because the beam is projected rather than diffused, it is designed to produce strong contrast over larger areas and longer working distances than a contact-style bar, which is why DCM positions the PLC family for surface and line-scan work over wider fields.
