boA2448-250cc
The Basler boost boA2448-250cc is a CoaXPress 2.0 area scan camera built around the 1/1.8" Sony IMX537 global-shutter CMOS sensor, offering 2448 x 2048 pixel (5 MP) color resolution with 2.74 µm pixels. It uses a 2x CXP-12 interface (2.5-12.5 Gbps per channel) to reach a maximum frame rate of around 250-255 fps over cable lengths up to 40 m. The camera is powered via Power over CoaXPress (PoCXP) or 24 VDC auxiliary power, consuming roughly 12 W, and is available with C-mount, F-mount and M42 lens mounts. It conforms to the GenICam and CoaXPress 2.0 standards and carries an IP30 housing rating.
The Basler boost boA2448-250cc is a high-speed area scan camera built around the 1/1.8" Sony IMX537 global-shutter CMOS sensor, delivering 2448 x 2048 pixels (5 MP) of color resolution from a compact 8.8 mm-diagonal optical format with small 2.74 um pixels. The global shutter is the defining trait here: every pixel is exposed simultaneously, so fast-moving parts on a conveyor, indexing turntable, or robot end-effector are frozen without the skew or smear a rolling shutter would introduce. Combined with 5 MP resolution, this lets the camera capture dimensionally faithful, geometrically correct frames of objects in motion - exactly what high-throughput inspection lines demand. The color sensor ships with no IR-cut filter, so for true color rendering you typically pair it with controlled visible illumination and, where needed, an external IR-blocking filter; for monochrome-style contrast tasks it can still be used with narrowband lighting.

How to build a high-speed machine-vision system: balance frame rate against resolution, freeze motion with short exposure and strobe lighting, and size the interface and frame grabber for sustained throughput.
How global and rolling shutters differ, why rolling shutter distorts moving objects, and when each is the right choice for industrial inspection.
A practical decision guide to the three dominant machine-vision interfaces: bandwidth, cable length, multi-camera support, PoE, latency, frame grabber needs and cost.
