CAM-E182C-GE
The Datalogic/Datasensing E182C (CAM-E182C-GE, P/N 959933039) is the color variant of the E182 high-speed GigE area-scan camera, delivering 1600x1200 resolution at 60 full-frame fps (higher with partial scan) from a 1/1.8" (8 mm diagonal, 7.2 x 5.4 mm) global-shutter CMOS sensor with 4.5 x 4.5 um pixels. It connects over Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T) with a C-mount lens interface, supports gain of 1 to 3 and electronic shutter from 112 to 1,000,000 us, and is powered via PoE or 12 VDC. The compact 42 x 29 x 29 mm IP30 housing provides trigger and strobe I/O and is designed to integrate with Datalogic MX-E series vision processors and Impact software. CE, FCC and RoHS compliant.
The Datalogic/Datasensing E182C is a 1.9 MP (1600 x 1200) color area-scan camera built around a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor with a true global shutter, running at 60 frames per second at full resolution and faster still in partial-scan mode. The global shutter is the defining trait here: every pixel is exposed simultaneously, so fast-moving parts on a conveyor or rotating fixture are captured without the skew and smear that a rolling shutter introduces. Combined with 60 fps, this makes the E182C suited to inline inspection where the product does not stop for the camera. The 4.5 x 4.5 um pixels on the 7.2 x 5.4 mm active area give a balanced trade-off between light sensitivity and the 1.9 MP detail budget, which is enough resolution to read codes, characters, and moderate surface features but is not a high-megapixel sensor for fine-pitch defect work.

A practical, application-first method for selecting an industrial camera: derive resolution from field of view and smallest detail, then match shutter, speed, interface, lens and lighting.
How global and rolling shutters differ, why rolling shutter distorts moving objects, and when each is the right choice for industrial inspection.
When to choose monochrome vs color machine-vision cameras: Bayer light loss and effective resolution, color-dependent tasks, wavelength-specific lighting, NIR sensitivity and processing cost.
