CAM-M190-GE-2048x1088-50
The Datasensing M190 (CAM-M190-GE-2048x1088-50, P/N 601-0454) is a compact GigE machine-vision camera built around a 2/3" CMOS sensor delivering 2048 x 1088 pixels (2.2 MP) at 50 FPS in monochrome with a global shutter and 5.5 µm pixels. It uses a Gigabit Ethernet interface with Power over Ethernet or 12 VDC supply and a standard C-mount, in a 42 x 29 x 29 mm IP30 housing rated for 0 to 50 °C operation. Trigger and strobe I/O provide integration flexibility, and the camera belongs to Datalogic's M-series area-scan family. A color variant (M190C, P/N 601-0455) shares the same optical and electrical specifications.
The Datasensing M190 is a compact GigE area-scan camera built around a 2/3-inch monochrome CMOS sensor that delivers 2048 x 1088 pixels (2.2 MP) with 5.5 um pixels and a true global shutter. The global shutter is the defining trait here: every pixel is exposed simultaneously, so the camera freezes motion cleanly on conveyors, indexing tables and rotating parts without the skew or smear that a rolling shutter would introduce. At 2.2 MP the resolution is modest by today's standards but very well matched to fast, repetitive 2D tasks where you want a tight field of view, a usable working depth and plenty of frames rather than a single enormous image. Running at 50 FPS, the M190 has enough throughput to capture multiple frames per part on a moving line, which is what defect detection, code reading and presence/verification checks typically demand.

A practical, application-first method for selecting an industrial camera: derive resolution from field of view and smallest detail, then match shutter, speed, interface, lens and lighting.
How global and rolling shutters differ, why rolling shutter distorts moving objects, and when each is the right choice for industrial inspection.
A practical decision guide to the three dominant machine-vision interfaces: bandwidth, cable length, multi-camera support, PoE, latency, frame grabber needs and cost.
