STC-CMB401CXP
The STC-CMB401CXP (monochrome) and STC-CMC401CXP (color) are compact CoaXPress area-scan cameras using a 1" ams OSRAM CMV4000 global-shutter CMOS sensor with 2048 x 2048 effective pixels (4MP) and 5.5 x 5.5 um cells, delivering 142.5 fps over a single CXP-6 lane. They conform to the CoaXPress Standard Version 1.1.1 and are powered over the coax cable (PoCXP), consuming 5.3 W or less, with exposure adjustable from 14 us to 16 s and analog gain up to x1.6 plus digital gain up to x5. The C-mount housing measures 40 x 40 x 41.4 mm and weighs about 124 g, with a DIN1.0/2.3 coax interface connector and a Hirose HR10A-7R-6PB power/signal connector. Trigger modes include edge preset, pulse-width, CXP trigger packet and free-run, and the camera supports ROI scanning, image flip, defective-pixel correction and eight user-setting memories (the color model adds manual white balance).
The Omron Sentech STC-CMB401CXP (monochrome) and its color sibling STC-CMC401CXP are compact area-scan cameras built around the 1-inch ams OSRAM CMV4000 global-shutter CMOS sensor. With 2048 x 2048 effective pixels (4.19 MP) on 5.5 x 5.5 um cells, they hit 142.5 fps over a single CXP-6 CoaXPress lane. That combination is the headline for an installer: a true global shutter freezes motion with zero geometric distortion, so parts moving on a conveyor, on a rotary index, or under a fast-moving web are captured cleanly at full resolution without the skew or smear a rolling shutter would introduce. At 142.5 fps the sensor's wide 1-inch format and 5.5 um pixels keep light-gathering generous while still resolving the kind of detail needed for surface defect inspection, dimensional gauging, and code reading on fast lines.

A practical decision guide to the three dominant machine-vision interfaces: bandwidth, cable length, multi-camera support, PoE, latency, frame grabber needs and cost.
How global and rolling shutters differ, why rolling shutter distorts moving objects, and when each is the right choice for industrial inspection.
How to build a high-speed machine-vision system: balance frame rate against resolution, freeze motion with short exposure and strobe lighting, and size the interface and frame grabber for sustained throughput.
